Updating old tiled fireplace

Home has a large two car attached garage with a great shady backyard.

Transform your new or existing fireplace into an elegant stone feature using Fireplace Stone Coating the fireplace paint.

Fireplace Stone Coating is a water-based fireplace paint specially formulated for application onto fire surrounds.

All brick is different, if possible, my advice is to spot test this technique on your brick material in an inconspicuous area prior to tackling this project.

Suitable for gas and electrical firesurrounds, back panels and hearths.

Please note, if you have a solid fuel fire, Fireplace Stone Coating is only suitable for the surround. Stipple the surface while still wet using a stippling brush or a small paste brush to give a uniformed mottled appearance.

Saves on the work and expense of replacement and creates a new fresh appearance.

Here are some great fireplace remodels from people who used our book "How to Remodel a Fireplace" to redesign their fireplaces. I'm so glad that Morgan did a blog post on just how she tackled this one. Running the mantel all the way across ties it together nicely.
